Latest Update....

Here we go guys n gals… a quick update on whats happening in the world of Coral Rose Radio :)

We are well and truly right in the chaos that is the festival season which has been keeping us mega busy over the last couple of months. So as well as our regular International New Music Shows and celebrity chats, we have been covering some great festivals meeting new bands whilst getting the opportunity to interview some of the more established ones too, which has been really great.

We are being selective as to which festivals we will be covering this year but are trying to meet as many new music artists as possible whilst we are there. Many of you have requested a radio interview but this is not always possible due to time commitments and expense (Remember we do all of this totally unfunded / free). If we are at a festival that your playing at we will do our best to make some time for you but please remember these are busy times for us too :)

New Music Shows

Due to the many demands on our time we have not been able to spend as much time listening to new music over the last couple of months so instead have used this as an opportunity to showcase some of the great New Music Shows that have been broadcast in the past and some of the wonderful new music artists already featured on our shows.

We have also been able to play more tracks from the hard copies of albums that bands/musicians mailed to us. Having hard copies of YOUR NEW MUSIC means we can not only put you on our rotation but also gives us ‘gap fillers’ or ‘content’ for our other music shows…

So if you have been hearing more from certain artists that is the reason :)

We have also got some more one off special radio shows too.

Launch of New Radio Station UPDATE

We are almost there in raising the money we need to launch our NEW INTERNET RADIO STATION this is in ADDITION to what we are currently doing for New Music Artists… Once festival season is out of the way we will focus on raising the remainder needed and getting the station launched.

Europe & beyond

We would love to break out into Europe & Beyond and have links with Spain and a Spanish radio station already. Some of our new music artists/bands have already expressed an interest in receiving free radio airplay in Spain so we are hoping that this can grow into something great :)

So those of you who don’t know what we do… please read our INTRODUCING page.. We know we need to update our page of FEATURED ARTISTS (now over 500) so please bear with us.. REMEMBER We give free radio airplay/promo to new music artists/bands, any genre from anywhere around the WORLD… its totally FREE/UNFUNDED… Even the radio presenting is voluntary so please bear with us…

So any more questions that are not answered on my website please email me coralroseradio@gmail.com

Past shows are on my media player on www.coral-rose.co.uk

Fundraising update

We have now raised over £500 pounds for Help for Heroes which is a charity that helps our servicemen / women. Please have a look at Corals Celebrity Chat and if you can help either through sponsorship or donating a prize to raffle then please let us know.

Feeder 23 April 2012 Generation Freakshow, Parr Hall Warrington

** Latest News 29 April 2012 “”

Congratulations guys!

Generation Freakshow charts at 13
Feeder’s new album has entered the UK albums chart at a very respectable 13th; the third highest new entry for the week and a full three places up on previous album Renegades.  Maybe you’re thinking we’ve got some kind of witty remark lined up for the guff currently occupying the top 10. Well we haven’t. Only despair. Lots and lots of despair.

Feeder 23 April 2012 - Parr Hall Warrington

Delighted to attend the Feeder gig at Parr Hall Warrington as the guys go on a nationwide tour after releasing their eighth studio album Generation Freakshow on 23 April 2012.

Probably better known and loved for their timeless hits Buck Rogers which hit the UK top five and Feeling A Moment, Alternative Rock Band, Feeder have successfully maintained an impressive presence in the music industry since they were formed in 1991.

Opening the show was Grant Nicholas, vocalist & guitarist and one of the key founder members of the band with Keyboard/vocalist Dean Deavall doing an acoustic version of Children of the sun. The band members came on the stage unannounced and as the crowd failed to recognise the band members started to boo off the pair, chanting we want FEEDER until Grant began to sing and the realisation finally struck home.

Children of the sun is one of my favourite tracks of the album. Having spanned over two decades Feeder still seem to be able to deliver just what their fans want… with anthems, high energy tracks that are also big on melody.

Vocalist & ‘Front man’ Grant Nicholas lead the band in an array of songs with favourites from previous albums whilst incorporating tracks from the new one.

During one song, Grant stopped the band after about a minute and a half into the track.. as they were playing it ‘wrong’ which was unnoticeable to the audience but totally unacceptable for Grant.. demonstrating a side to him, in my opinion, of the perfectionist he is.

The crowd at Warrington Parr hall appeared to enjoy every minute of iit and there was serious ‘moshing’ going on during their performance.

Sat on the balcony, we had an enviable view, close to the stage. Normally with the moshers in stalls, on the balcony we were able to witness the incredible skills of the drummer, Damon Wilson, who I can only compare to ‘animal’ out of the muppets with his extra ordinary energy & power driven performance. Absolutely phenomenal skills with that drumkit!

Their new album Generation Freakshow has in my opinion ‘FEEDER’ written all over it, in terms of earlier album releases. It sill has the FEEDER feel to it whilst demonstrating that the band are naturally progressing with their music which should appeal to both New & Old Feeder fans alike.

We were fortunate to catch up with the band after the gig with Dean Deavall keyboard player/vocalist. Formerly played with Casino, and his own band The High Hurts.

Dean Deavall - aka Dr Evil Muah Muah Muah!

Remind me to do an Up Close & Personal with Dr Evil… Somebody stole my mojo!

Tracks like Sunrise are sure to be a hit with festival goers this year for Feeder as well as their most renowned songs like Buck Rogers, which appeared to bring a whole new lease of life into the audience or as some would say, ‘it woke them up’

The new album Generation Freakshow has received some mixed reviews but as with anything else its all down to YOU the fans what you think of it. To me the album is essentially the hallmark of what you expect from FEEDER, showing the penmanship genius of songwriter Grant Nicholas whilst showing that they still have the creativity & insight to progress their music into the next era…

Which Festival 2012?

Top awesome festivals this year?! Wow!! Thats a short question with a very long answer.. might need twitlonger for this one! PART ONE…

The first of the season for me is @beardedtheory and its one Im really looking forward to due as its family friendly, has an awesome line - up and is affordable for most families. Im also looking forward to interview people wearing their beards! Im also keen to see some of the great acts such as Levellers, Terrorvision, Dreadzone, Selector etc All of which I love so its always a bonus. The location is also great as its one of the festivals closer to home. I would say before I go on, that location, price and headliners should influence YOUR choice of festival as that can impact on the whole experience…

For those of you wanting something bigger there is T in the Park which has some AMAZING headlining acts such as SNOW PATROL, NEW ORDER, FLORENCE & THE MACHINE, STONE ROSES etc.. For all TWF this is a must as THE WANTED are playing there too. This takes place in Kinross so depending where you live could be a NO NO in terms of travelling time, expense.. although I would imagine THIS FESTIVAL to be MEGA!

If you want to go to a more family festival playing all genres of music then there are 2 Festivals run by the same people Gossington & Bakewell Music Festival. If you like ROCK, ACOUSTIC, BLUES, BLUEGRASS then these two festivals look set to be real highlights of the year in our festival calendar. Seth Lakeman, Gypsy Fire being some of the great headliners! Prices are really family friendly & affordable with FREE parking, Camping & Caravaning.

Another festival close to home is KENDAL CALLING now this festival offers top headlining acts such as JAMES, MAXIMO PARK, FEEDER, INSPIRAL CARPETS. Set in the beautiful Lake District this is again close to home so a favourite of ours. Kendal Calling is an award winning innovative and independent festival.

One of the best festivals of 2011 for us was LEEDS Festival, not only for TOP HEADLINING ACTS but we just enjoyed the PARTY ATMOSPHERE. It really does have a party atmosphere. This year headliners include the AWESOME FOO FIGHTERS.. one of my favourite bands of all times! Coming close to that are SNOW PATROL,KILLERS and STONE ROSES who are all headlining at V FESTIVAL.. Another HUGE Favourite of ours! Party atmosphere. Big site. Lots of people! New ones for us this year..

We would like to go to The Secret Garden Party as we have heard WONDERFUL reviews about it. Named as one of the most PHENOMENAL Garden Party of all time.. We would love to check it out and see what its all about!

As a youth I was into some of the GREAT PUNK bands that existed in my day so I would love to go to Rebellion Festival this year. One of the WORLDS BIGGEST PUNK FESTIVALS in nearby to us, BLACKPOOL. Especially as PIL and Rancid are headlining. Not everyones cup of tea.. so choose YOUR festival wisely!

New to the Festival scene but already receiving huge amounts of press and publicity is THE M FEST in conjunction with Morrisons Food & Everything British!

Not sure if that is pies and mushy peas but anything with FOOD and you can count me in! It has some great headlining acts including The Human League, Scouting for Girls, Levellers, Cher Llloyd etc It even has Sir Bob Geldof in the line up! Quite impressive for a new festival. Again aimed to be family friendly and affordable.

For those of you liking things a little more HEAVY or tad MORE METAL then Bloodstock could be the festival for you! One of my heroes Alice Cooper is headlining and I would just love to see this LEGEND perform with acclaimed Guitarist Orianthi who played alongside Michael Jackson before his untimely death. This is in itself, enough reason to buy tickets to Bloodstock. Set in Derbyshire with the option to camp too.

Those of you wanting to ROCK then Download Festival is THE UKS PREMIER ROCK FESTIVAL held at Donnington Park. A superb venue, AWESOME LINE UP including PRODIGY, BLACK SABBATH, CHASE & STATUS etc This looks like its going to be an incredible event for you ROCKSTERS out there! Taking place June 8 - 10th so a definite date in your diary if this floats your boat.

GENERATION FREAKSHOW

01. OH MY
02. BORDERS
03. IDAHO
04. HEY JOHNNY

09. IN ALL HONESTY
10. HEADSTRONG

Crowd pleasers, Feeder are set to perform at several major UK festivals this year including Isle of Wight Festival, Kendal Calling & T in the park.

TO BE CONTINUED…

Please have a look at Corals Celebrity Chat and if you can help either through sponsorship or donating a prize to raffle then please let us know.

http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/showFundraiserProfilePage.action?userUrl=CoralRose

A HUGE Thank you to everyone who has supported us and who continues to support us on TWITTER and who is helping to promote new music artists from all around the WORLD…
